In October 2022 our mother, Ginny Rowland, was admitted to the Rome Abraham House. She had taken a turn for the worse and we could no longer care for her at home. She was understandably nervous and anxious about moving to her new home . Gina and Kim welcomed us with open arms and answered every question graciously and quickly – and we had plenty as we weren’t familiar with Abraham House.
Well, long story short…Mom immediately renamed the house “The Ritz” and fell in love with everything about it. She had a new lease on life for her final journey and started holding court with her friends and family to show off her new digs.
There are not enough words to describe how fantastic the entire staff was. Their compassion, kindness, warmth, patience, and sense of humor is endless. We felt like family the entire time, their motto “This home is your home” rings true every day.
We were able to use all the facilities whenever we needed. My mother would love when we cooked her favorite dinner for her at the well equipped kitchen right in the home.
We were able to bring Callie our family pup for her to cuddle up, too!
We will be forever grateful to Abraham House and its entire staff. ❤️
